In a world where surveillance technology continuously evolves, we demonstrate the seamless integration of a power supply with SNMP/HTTP communication capabilities with the world of Axis network cameras. To showcase this integration, we've chosen a backup power supply from IMCO POWER, a renowned manufacturer in this field utilized by our clients for mobile camera installations.

Technical Solution

At the heart of this integration is the connection between an SNMP/HTTP-compatible power supply unit, specifically the IMCO Power LS110, and the AXIS M1137 MkII Network Camera. The system employs two critical CamStreamer apps:

• CamScripter App: This app runs a micro-app script inside the Axis camera, processing data from the IMCO Power LS110, including battery status, temperature, mains power connection, and cabinet door status.
• CamOverlay App: Utilizes the data to create a real-time visual widget in the video feed, a feature unique to CamStreamer.

More importantly, the integration facilitates transmitting data as Axis Events to the Axis Camera Station (ACS) or other Video Management Systems (VMS) like Milestone or Genetec. This capability allows for creating smart events, such as triggering an alert if the temperature exceeds a certain threshold for a specified period of time, etc.
